I am Abigail Ogbonna (Ph. D.) and come from Imo State, Nigeria. I obtained Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1991. I attended University of Jos from 1991-1995 and obtained B.Sc. (Hons) Botany Second Class Upper Division in Botany Department, now Department of Plant Science & Technology. I possess M. Sc. (2001) and Ph.D. (2016) in Applied Microbiology from the same Department. My Ph. D. research is in the area of Antibiotics and Enzyme Production.I was the best graduating student in the Department of Economics/Integrated Science in 1991. I was also awarded Federal Government Scholarship for M.Sc. programme in 1999. I was the best graduating M. Sc. Student in my class, 2001.I was employed as an Assistant Lecturer in Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and rose through the ranks to Senior Lecturer in Department of Plant Science & Technology of the same University of Jos in 2016.I have published a good number of scientific papers in various areas of my academic interest (Fungal Biotechnology, Fermentation Technology, Bioremediation, Processing and Preservation Technology, Waste Management, Medical Microbiology, Petroleum Microbiology, Medical Botany including medicinal plants and Technical Economics).My hobbies include sports, reading, listening to music and travelling. I am married with children.
